Abstract

PT BASS is a marketing institute engaged in the marketing business as a supplier of vegetables for supermarkets, one of which is processed vegetables is white cabbage. The number of institutions involved in the trading process will greatly affect prices in the hands of consumers. The efficiency of the marketing channel for white cabbage needs to be done at the marketing institute of PT BASS aimed at: 1) identifying the channel of white cabbage trade system, and 2) analyzing the efficiency of the white cabbage trade system to find out the trading system from producers to consumers. The method used is descriptive and quantitative in this thesis. The data used are primary data and secondary data. Based on calculations the results show that the efficient channels are, 1) Channel 2 [Supplier - PT BASS - Carrefour (Supermarket) - End Consumer], 2) The value of the trading system margin of IDR 10,000 / Kg, and the Farmer's share value of IDR 28.57 percent , while the value of the ratio of profits and costs, states there is an even distribution of profits because the results show that the value generated is more than 0 (> 0).
