Abstract

PT AKA is a company engaged in the business of distributor of agricultural production facilities, namely seeds, fertilizers and pesticides. PT AKA through this collaboration can realize partnerships between companies and producers and companies with farmers with the aim to increase sales and facilitate farmers in obtaining agricultural production facilities. The purpose of writing the Final Assignment report is (1) identifying the distribution channels and the distribution channel functions of corn seeds at PT AKA Lampung Branch, (2) identifying the barriers to the distribution of corn seeds at PT AKA Lampung Branch, the method used is a descriptive qualitative method. Based on the results and discussion it can be seen that (1) PT AKA Lampung Branch uses two distribution channels namely direct channel: PT AKA Lampung Branch - end consumers and indirect channels: PT AKA Lampung Branch - kiosks - end consumers, as well as the application of the function of seed distribution channels corn namely information, promotion, negotiation, ordering, financing, risk taking, physical, payment, property rights, (2) obstacles experienced by PT AKA Lampung Branch including: Location, some not yet equipped with supporting infrastructure for distribution, for example bad roads thus inhibiting the distribution process. Competitors, there are competitors who provide low prices in selling corn seeds. Payment, the existence of bad credit in the payment of corn seeds.
